Harper Collins Annual Party, London.
Mingling with the Champagne crowd. I left my axe at reception!! A shame, it would have looked good with the shirt 🙂
Had a totally brilliant time at the Harper Collins annual bash, at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London the other night. It wasn’t just the bountiful champagne and raw nibbles, the totally stunning location, the buzzing atmosphere or select clientele (who let me in, you’re thinking, right?) but the whole thing gelled into a night of partying and good company. First, I was buzzed by the paps on the red carpet on the way in (ha!) and met up with the Angry Robot boys Marc Gascoigne and sex-bomb Lee Harris. Also had some long cool chats with my agent Dorothy Lumley, and a host of authors whom it was a very great pleasure to meet – Mike Shevdon (http://shevdon.livejournal.com/), Guy Adams (http://www.guy-adams.com/), Helen Black (http://www.hblack.co.uk/) and Neil White (http://www.neilwhite.net/) amongst many, many others. Hello all!!
The Angry Robot Boys, being "mauled" by a happy Rem. To the right stands vixen vampire Lee, concealing some sexy lace underwear beneath his snazzy suit.
Met the very charming David Baddiel, and I’ve been a fan of his comedy for a long time, right back from the Mary Whitehouse Experience days. He very kindly agreed to be mauled by Rem for the purposes of a photo.
Andy Remic was "out-bearded" by David Baddiel. The bastard. Next time, I tell you! Next time!
And met the King of Ginger himself, Chris Evans, who was superbly charming and interesting, and answered my lame questions on Ferarris with good grace. He seemed interested in my books, anyway, and the poor guy is soon to be a victim of BIOHELL. Should make a good wedge of toilet paper, anyhows….
Chris Evans and Andy Remic. Too much ginger? Perhaps-- but then, that's Viking heritage for you!
From L-R, Helen Thomas, Radio BBC2 Drivetime producer, Chris Evans, Ferrari driver and rocking DJ, and some Champagne drinking starry eyed PA called Sonia.

TOP NIGHT HARPERCOLLINS!!
